The Eagle Hunter's Son is a German-Swedish co-production, showing the experiences of nomadic boy Bazarbei as he runs away from his family to look for his brother in Ulan Baator.
Greenpost set up and realized the full postproduction for The Eagle Hunter's Son. A particular challenge was to adjust the workflow to the raw data gained from the Si2k-camera by P+S technik. This film is one of the pioneering projects utilising a full digital RAW workflow, graded with IRIDAS Speedgrade. This way Greenpost was able to preserve the full color fidelity of the 2K RAW-files and get this film on the big screen with optimal quality.
Greenpost also created the opening-titles, end-credits und several composites and effects for this project.
A HDCAM-Version was mastered for screening at Berlinale 2009. In March a 35mm-Version will be printed at Greenpost.
